With the increasing risk of COVID-19 transmission in our community, the Board of Directors is suspending regular operations effective immediately. Unfortunately this means there will be no ice availability for practice or make-up games until the new year. In addition all rentals have been cancelled.Regular Curling League play is scheduled to resume on January 3rd, unless municipal or provincial mandates restrict our activities.
Regular Curling League play will continue to be suspended for 2 more weeks as we monitor the situation. We will provide an update to the membership by Thursday Jan 13th.
As the Government of Ontario has mandated a closure of all indoor sports facilities until January 25th, our closure will continue at least until then. We will provide an update closer to that date.
In the meantime we wish everyone a safe and happy holiday and New Year!

Any update for the week of January 3?
An update has just been emailed and this post revised… unfortunately we are continuing to hold off on returning to curling for at least another 2 weeks.
Did I miss the update on HCC resumption of curling that was to have been posted on Thursday, January 13, or is it that the situation is so fluid that no decision can be made?

Another email has been sent. The government of Ontario has mandated a closure of all indoor sports until at least January 25th. The Board will reconvene Jan 23rd to assess the situation at that time.
How do we ensure we are receiving these email updates etc.? We are new to the club having registered our son for your Youth Learn to Curl Program (Ages 8-15) on Sundays; however, we have received no further correspondence other than the email confirming registration back in early December. We have emailed and called several times /left messages since then requesting additional information on what to expect/updates with no replies. Do you anticipate the Youth Program will resume after January 25th? If so, will an email be sent out to all new registrants so that we know what to expect, what we need to bring in terms of equipment or whether this is provided etc.? If no, will we be issued a refund?
