Two of our club members, Whitney and Sean Toogood, have lost their new Stittsville home and all their possessions, due to a fire which spread from their neighbour’s home, occurring in the early hours of January 20th. News Article: Ottawa Firefighters Battle Two Early Morning Fires.
The couple and their two young children are safe and presently staying with nearby friends. However we are sure it will be months before their lives can resume any sense of normalcy. Some help from members would be welcome.
A GoFundMe page has been set up for them. If you feel inclined, please provide whatever financial support you can. In addition, any physical materials you wish to donate can be dropped off at Vance’s service center on March Road in Carp, care of Cory Mundy, Monday to Friday.
