The weekend of February 18, 2023 saw Huntley Curling Club host the Ladies Curling Association’s U7 bonspiel.
Everyone had a great time at the club – 3 HCC teams participated out of 14 and the Nicole McStravick team narrowly lost the A-final.
Kudos to teams Audrey Moey and Ruth Winter for putting in their serious efforts as well.
A big thank you to long-time curler Susan Johnston of LCA (and of the Smiths Falls CC), for her dedication and time spent in the organization of LCA events. These things could not happen without that.
And they also could not happen effectively at HCC without Cory’s time as Event Director, and all the volunteers he arranged. The food was superb and all agreed (and were well fed).
Volunteers continue to be the critical component of a club, and that is so true for ours. Let’s keep it up.
