Bill was a Founding Member who supported the concept of a curling club for Carp, contributing time and effort in the developmental stages of the Club’s development. Bill was on the original Board that acquired the land and constructed the first 2 sheets and was one of a select few members who co-signed at the bank for the next two sheets that were installed in the 90’s.
Wendy was a Board member for a few years, working in various positions, leading, and serving on committees, and volunteering her time on many Club activities. They were always ready and willing to pitch in to provide leadership and volunteer their time on committees and activities. As Carp natives, well known and respected in local social circles, Bill and Wendy used their influence in the community to support and promote the club and attract friends and colleagues to join. It was people like them whose leadership and commitment helped turn an idea into the curling club reality we all enjoy today.
