Carleton Heights Curling Club Joins Forces with Prostate Cancer Support Ottawa
Get ready for a day of action-packed curling and community spirit as Carleton Heights Curling Club teams up with Prostate Cancer Support Ottawa (PCSO) to host the inaugural “Curl for Hope” Prostate Cancer Bonspiel on Saturday, November 25, 2023.
Carleton Heights Curling Club and PCSO are joining hands to raise vital funds for men and their families navigating the challenging journey of cancer treatment. Additionally, proceeds will be directed towards crucial research projects specific to prostate cancer in the Ottawa area.

Bonspiel Details:
The bonspiel will feature three draws, each comprising two six-end games. Teams can secure their preferred draw on a first-come, first-served basis. The schedule for each draw is as follows:
Draw A Games: 8:30 AM and 1:45 PM
Draw B Games: 10:15 AM and 3:30 PM
Draw C Games: 12:00 PM and 5:00 PM
All participating teams will enjoy a light breakfast, lunch, and a closing banquet at 7:30 PM. Prizes will be awarded for both competition performance and various team challenges throughout the day.
Fundraising for a Cause:
Once registered, teams will receive a link to the PCSO CanadaHelps donation site to collect contributions for PCSO. This link can be shared with friends and family to encourage support. Teams are encouraged to set a donation goal, such as $500, to back this vital cause. CanadaHelps will issue tax receipts for online donations immediately, while cash donations will require donor information if a tax receipt is requested.
Community Engagement:
This bonspiel is a not-for-profit event, and teams and companies are encouraged to contribute prizes that can be used to generate additional donations for PCSO. All donations, whether monetary or in-kind, will be acknowledged during and after the event.
