What follows is a collection of news items regarding our competitive Youth teams in the past few weeks.
Team Frlan Narrowly Lost Out at the U18 Provincials
In early January, the U18 Ontario Provincials were hosted by the RCMP Curling Club. Team Frlan finished 3rd in the round-robin phase with a 5-2 record. On the Sunday, the team played 3 matches, winning the semi-final 5-3 but losing out to Team Vivier (Ottawa Hunt & Golf Club) in their final, 7-5. The final day of the event saw the team lose in a 2nd final, 7-3, in a re-match with Team A.Acres who they’d played in the semi-final. The team played 10 matches over the 5-day event.
Team Twining Wins U18 Bonspiel in Manotick
The team went undefeated after 3 games enroute to claiming their first 1st place victory of the season.
