2018 Huntley Newsletter 32

Hello sportsfans, er, fellow curlers.  Here are a few items for you to glance at.

1. Info Session on our Club Building: yep it is still on, for this Sat 1300-1400 at the club.  Please try to make this as Shawn and Dan have put a lot into creating a great plan for our Club, and you really need to see it.  I am still moderating, and I WAS KIDDING about bringing rotten fruit to throw!!

2. Naughty Kittens have found their mittens: Beth thanks all that were involved in the successful recovery of the missing curling shoes.  All is well!

3. Sad Note: our match Director and long-time HCC member, Jim Collings,  has lost his father recently.  Our hearts and thoughts go out to him in this tough time.

4. Golf Tournament: (what, who makes me put this stuff in…we have a ton of snow…anyway..) Yes, it is time to start thinking of the annual HCC Golf Tournament; get your marker out for the calendar:  The greens are still covered with snow, but keep in mind that our annual HCC golf tournament and summer reunion dinner is slated for Irish Hills Golf Course on June 22, 2019. It’s open to HCC members and their friends. Even if you don’t golf, it’s a great chance to get together for dinner with friends. Stay tuned for further details – online sign up will be available soon.

5. Annual General Meeting: yup, still on for 14 May at 1900.  We need you to come out, this is a chance to see all that we have accomplished as a group this year, and to have a look and participate in the decisions on how it will look next year.  Please plan to participate.

abba dee abba da….thats all folks
