A U18 Competitive Men’s team from Huntley (Team Davis) advanced in the Brokerlink-OVCA Junior SuperSpiel qualifier, held at both the Arnprior CC & Carleton Place CC 21-22 October, after 3 hard-fought matches. In their final game, they went into an extra end, without the hammer, and stole a point which clutched the win and secured their place in the SuperSpiel finals.
The 2023 BrokerLink-OVCA Junior SuperSpiel will be held Nov. 3-5 2023 in Ottawa. Each year interest in the SuperSpiel grows among teams across Canada, the United States and Europe and Team Davis looks forward to curling with other competitive junior men’s curling teams that play locally and around the world. Team Davis faces the team from Switzerland for their first game.
Team members include: Cam Davis (skip), Ashton Reid (vice), Oscar Barbieri (second), Dylan Yuill (lead) and Fred Barbieri (coach). A special thanks to Bill Vance for coaching the boys during this OVCA SuperSpiel qualifier.
